DSQUARED2′S PRE-FALL 2013 COLLECTION

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

This collection has actually been around since December 2012, and I have been meaning to post it sooner. Normally in most collections now a days, you see tiny little pieces of fabric barely covering anything or ridiculously unwearable pieces. But along comes this collection and it's like a breath of fresh air..

Not only is every piece is so wearable and looks simply divine. But isn't the model, the styling and even retro photo shoot itself, great? I think Fashion Gone Rogue said it best:

"Lady Sings the Blues – Inspired by the practicality and glamour of the forties, DSquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten created angular silhouettes for their label’s pre-fall 2013 collection. Model Jasmine Tookes dons a mix of high-waisted pencil skirts, daywear jackets and menswear inspired tailoring reinterpreted with the DSquared2 aesthetic. Ultra-feminine looks in shades of lilac, carrot, rouge, sand, black and ruby-red place an emphasis on body conscious silhouettes. For evening wear, the DSquared2 woman gets ready to hit the town in floor-length silk chiffon and crêpe gowns."
